About Chèvre Sully Fluo
Chèvre Sully Fluo is combination-tanned goatskin like Sully, coated in vibrant colors — thin, firm in hand yet supple; this is the leather line you choose for color.
- A color to tuck inside. Wallet linings, the inside of bag flaps — opening reveals the vibrant tone, becoming a detail only the owner knows. The more discreet, the more tasteful; an item made entirely in vibrant tones is an acquired taste.
- A backdrop to make details pop. A vibrant card pocket makes cards stand out, easy to spot and pull quickly. An accent trim or a wrapped loop in a vibrant color is enough to highlight a muted piece.
- Thin, so lining doesn't add bulk. It is still thin yet tough goatskin that stays flat when layered — a lining slimmer than split cowhide, and stronger. A familiar pairing: let structured, muted leathers handle the exterior shell, while Fluo takes care of the slimness and color inside.
Two things to keep in mind: vibrant colors show dirt very clearly; finger marks or ink stains stand out immediately, so keep your hands and workbench spotless while working. And fluorescent colors exposed to sunlight or UV for a long time can fade slightly, so they suit indoor items — remember to tell customers this.

French leather in stock leans toward calfskin and goatskin: smaller hides, smooth grain, thin substance — well-suited for small leather goods and work requiring sharp stitching.
Goat
Lightweight and thin, yet surprisingly tough thanks to tightly interwoven fibers. Natural fine pebbled grain, soft in the hand. Commonly used for linings, slim wallets, and items that need to be light yet durable.
Characteristics & applications
Tannage
